Students will learn basic blacksmithing techniques as they are guided through making various functional and sculptural projects.

Any skill level is welcome and students will be challenged and supported accordingly. Students will write an artist statement and be invited to exhibit their work in an end of program open studio event.

We are excited to provide a safe and supportive environment for our 2SLGBTQ+ students who will be taught by queer instructors.

Students must bring a lunch and a water bottle and dress in appropriate attire- long pants and close toed shoes.

Safety equipment, tools and snacks will be provided.

Groups should specify in advance which areas they are interested in seeing. Field trips are provided for youth ages 12 and older.

**Safety Note - Please wear close toed shoes when visiting the metal shop. Safety glasses will be provided.
